Traveling Gringos was originally thought up while traveling in Costa Rica in 2000. During this trip we were driving the red 4Runner seen in the first episodes. This red 4Runner was Eric’s but years later Patrick would buy another red 4Runner in Costa Rica. Neither Gringo still owns a red 4Runner.
